Plaque Unveiling Ceremony for the Kyu-Sung Hwang (Class of 1959) Memorial Space (Science Hall Room 429, Shared Research Space)

On Thursday, March 5, 2026, at 4:00 PM, a plaque unveiling ceremony was held for the commemorative space honoring the late alumnus Kyu-Sung Hwang (Class of 1959), who generously donated KRW 500 million to the Department of Chemistry Development Fund and passed away in 2025.
The ceremony was attended by the family of the late alumnus, faculty members, and graduate students of the department, providing a meaningful opportunity to reflect on his deep affection and lasting commitment to Yonsei University and the Department of Chemistry.
His generosity and support have deeply inspired all members of the Yonsei Chemistry community. We will continue to cherish his legacy and strive to further advance the Department of Chemistry at Yonsei University in the spirit of his dedication.
